Urban wedding venues in Marion.
Yes, Marion.

Forty-five minutes north of Columbus, where the venue rental is not $22,000 and beautiful things are not a luxury.

The Price

No, the price is not a typo.

The average wedding here, $7,000 to $15,000 all in. That is the entire wedding. Venue, ceremony, linens, bar package, catering, DJ, florals, the whole thing. The average Columbus loft venue charges $14,000 to $22,000 for the venue rental alone. Our $20,000 is a couple's ceiling. Theirs is your starting point.

Your wedding could be lower or higher depending on what you add on and the vendors you choose. We will tell you exactly what our venue costs, in writing, before you book.

Theirs is your starting price. Ours is your ceiling.

Three reasons the math works.

01

Marion is not Columbus.

Real estate, labor, and operating costs in downtown Marion are a fraction of what venues pay in areas like German Village, Short North, or the Brewery District. We pass the savings directly to you instead of marking it up to match the city.

02

We are owner-operated, not catering-operated.

Most Columbus or city venues are run by large catering companies that build their margins into mandatory food and beverage minimums. We are run by the people who own the building, which means our pricing is not engineered to subsidize anyone else's business model.

03

You can bring your own caterer.

Most Columbus venues lock you into one caterer with a minimum spend of $80 to $120 per guest. We let you choose. Our partner restaurant Bucci's Italian Scratch Kitchen is one option. Bringing in any licensed caterer of your choice is another. That single decision is often where the biggest savings come from.

The Drive

Marion has been here the whole time.

Forty-five minutes north of Columbus, the route runs through farmland and small towns, not through city traffic. The buildings drop away around mile twenty and what is left is the kind of drive where the wedding weekend has already started before anyone has parked. Hotels ten minutes from the venue. Airbnbs closer than that. Coffee shops, rehearsal-dinner restaurants, and getting ready spots within walking distance of the venue. A whole downtown that is small enough to belong to your weekend and big enough to fit your whole guest list inside it.

Most of the couples who book here are already coming from out of town. They are not the exception. They are the rule.

Brickyard on Main reception space, set and ready

Forty-five minutes is not an obstacle.

It is the part of the day where you stop planning a wedding and start having one.

Brickyard on Main

A single floor that flows.

A historic brick building where the entire wedding day moves between connected spaces without ever changing floors. The ceremony happens in the courtyard around the fire feature, with brick walls, turf, and bistro lights strung overhead. The glass garage door lifts to open the main room into the courtyard, so cocktail hour flows between the bar and the courtyard without anyone being asked to move. The reception and dance floor live in the main room, steps from the bar and the courtyard. The alley off the courtyard turns into its own photo set after dark: string lights, sparklers, the guest moments couples actually frame for their walls. The whole day breathes together on one floor, with the courtyard as the heart of it.

This is the venue for the wedding where everyone you love is close enough to find at any moment.

Urban501

A wedding that unfolds across two floors.

A two-floor historic building where the day reveals itself as guests move through the space. Cocktail hour happens downstairs in Passenger + Rail Co., around a dark wood bar, bookcase-lined walls, and a courtyard with black rail cars and a neon sign that reads "Long Live The Love". The ceremony and reception move upstairs to a ballroom with woodwork and natural light from the second-floor windows, or the whole day can live downstairs in Passenger + Rail Co. if the bride wants it to. The architecture gives the day natural acts. Every photo lives in one of three worlds: the courtyard, Passenger + Rail Co., and the ballroom.

This is the venue for the wedding where you want the day to feel like a place you discovered, not a room you booked.

Casey, venue manager at Brickyard on Main and Urban501

The Person

I'm Casey. I run the venues.

I'm your go-to person at Brickyard on Main and Urban501, which means I am the one who writes you back, shows you around, and is your point of contact. My goal is to make the planning process easy so the wedding day can be the fun part.

I am not a coordinator from a catering company. I am not a booking agent. I am the manager, the host, and the person who will remember that you wanted your grandmother to have a chair near the fire feature because she gets cold.

If you tour with me, we will have coffee. Or a mixed drink. Hey, maybe both. I will tell you what is and is not included before you ask. I will tell you what other brides have done in each space and what worked. And if it is not the right venue for you, I will say so, because you do not need me to sell you a venue that doesn't fit.

My guess is you came here looking for a beautiful space, the right price, and a venue with real urban character that feels unique. That's the whole reason these venues exist. And yes, you found it in Marion.

If any of this sounds like the kind of venue you have been looking for, come tour with me.

Real weddings. Real brides. Real reviews.
